We do not charge a security deposit. No hold on your card at booking, nothing to claim back afterward. We would rather keep booking simple and trust you, which ten years of hosting says is the right call.
If something breaks, spills, stains, or stops working, message Zachary as soon as you notice it. Not at checkout. Not in the review.
Two reasons this matters. Most things are fixable if we hear in time, and we have a turnover to run before the next guests arrive. Something we discover on turnover morning is a far bigger problem than something we hear about on Tuesday afternoon.
A broken glass. A scuffed wall. A stained towel. Normal wear on a cabin that sleeps ten. If you tell us during your stay, we do not charge you for it. This is not a trick, and in ten years it has almost never been an issue.
We would much rather absorb a $30 dish than have you spend your holiday worrying about it.
You are responsible for the actual cost of repair or replacement when damage goes beyond normal use. In practice that means:
We charge the actual cost, with receipts available on request. No markup and no administrative fee.
By booking, you authorize us to charge the card used for your reservation for damage covered by this policy.
We will always contact you first with photographs and the cost before charging anything. You will not find a surprise charge on your statement.
The fire pit, the creek, the log bridge and the nature trail are used at your own risk. Children should be supervised near the water and around the fire. Please make sure the fire is fully out before you go inside for the night.
Ask. We would rather answer a question now than have anyone unsure about what they are agreeing to. Message Zachary directly.
